Hey everyone! We’re back with a long-awaited review of the new Under Armour Curry 2. We’ve been fortunate enough to test these kicks since September, thanks to Curry’s visit to Asia for the UA Roadshow, giving us a head start before the global release. Now, with Curry tearing up the NBA courts, we can’t help but wonder: is it the shoes? Let’s dive in and find out.
The Curry 2 features full-length Charged cushioning, a step up from its predecessor. Right out of the box, these shoes felt comfortable, providing a noticeable bounce with each step. Compared to the previous model, it strikes a balance between softness and firmness, offering great responsiveness and impact protection. Perfect for quick direction changes and sudden stops on the court.
True to size, but those with wider feet might prefer going half a size up. The Speedform technology ensures a snug fit without sacrificing mobility. The seamless construction and molded heel cup reduce distractions, offering a sock-like feel that molds to your foot. Plus, the toe box’s synthetic fuse material adds durability without sacrificing flexibility.
The switch from Anafoam to Speedform technology brings a thinner, more precise fit. It feels like you’re wearing nothing at all while still keeping your foot secure. The fuse overlay on the toe box ensures durability without stiffness, requiring minimal break-in time. Compared to the Curry 1, Speedform offers a softer, more customizable fit.
The multidirectional herringbone pattern, dubbed Organic herringbone, provides excellent grip on the court, catering to Curry’s dynamic playing style.
The Curry 2 offers enhanced support and stability, thanks to its snug fit and large heel counter. The midfoot and heel shank prevent tipping over, even with the softer Speedform material.
Overall, the Curry 2 impresses with its improvements in cushioning, materials, traction, and overall experience. Whether you’re a guard or a big guy, these kicks deliver responsiveness and impact protection in one solid package. Available now in Dub Nation and Father to Son colorways at Titan.
